My pirate name is:

Black Sam Read

Like anyone confronted with the harshness of robbery on the high seas, you can be pessimistic at times. Even through many pirates have a reputation for not being the brightest souls on earth, you defy the sterotypes. You've got taste and education. Arr!

Good things come...

Yeah, so... At first glance it looks like maybe I have been neglecting my blog. Okay, so at second and third glance it still looks that way. Frankly... I've been busy since school started. Not the best excuse in the world, but each semester seems to need some time before I can actually get settled into a routine. I think that I am just about there. I hope.

Anyways. I have a great website for everyone, anyone (no one?) to check out. I think it is awesome, but it is the kind of thing that other people just don't really like that much. It is called dailylit.com. The idea is that in this busy time in which we live, or try to live, you can still take a moment to enjoy the good things in life. The good things being some really great literature. This site is free to join and use. They have a (rather large) collection of books available online. However, unlike many online libraries, they do not allow you to view the books on their site. Instead you sign up and they will email you a small section of whichever book(s) you have asked for untill you have read the entire book. You can control the frequency of sections you receive and they are constantly expanding and trying to make more authors and titles available. I suggest giving it a shot. As President Hinckley says:

There is so much of wonderful reading available.
We are not likely to ever get too much of it.
-Gordon B. Hinckley; May Ensign, 2005

This is a great way to enrich your day with a small portion of "wonderful reading" everyday. It always helps me relax just a little bit. Enjoy. Good reading.
